Basic Facts
The Greengrass Family
The Greengrass Clan of Scotland are apart of the "Scared Twenty-Eight" list of Pureblood families but what is less known about them, they own such a hug amount of land in the highlands, that not everyone there is strictly of the Magical community. The family is also of noble blood and carries a title of Lord or since they're Scots, Laird passed down to the son or nearest male relative. Greengrass Estate is not just a single home but many homes on a large farm that has been in the family for generations. The main "Big House"(shown to the right) is the house where everything happens including business transactions, family/clan gatherings, holidays, celebrations, weddings and much more happen. The current residents and Estate landlords are Astoria's grandparents, James and Caitriona(neè Macmillan), who have been married and business partners in running the estate happily for over fifty years. After marrying in 1946 at just 18 years of age in secret because James' parents were set on him marrying someone from the Flint family but Cait's family lived on a nearby farm and James fell for her because she was a woman who would work hard, she knew what it took to run a large farm and that was what he wanted in a wife. After a long period of not being accepted, Cait earned her place as the Lady of the house when her father-in-law died and she was kind enough to take care of her mother-in-law in her grief. Malcolm James(Astoria's father) was born in 1957 after a long period of trying and failing to get pregnant but it lead to another birth of their daughter, Janet "Jenny" Aileana in 1960. Unfortunately they miscarried their third child in 1963 and that lead to a nearly devastating affair between James and a woman who lived on the land, this resulted in a son named Callum Duncan...Callum's mother died during childbirth and being such a kind, good woman, Cait took him in as her own. The family lived happily on the estate surrounded by horses, cattle, chickens, goats and gorgeous land that continued to be home for many families and family members of the Greengrass' for generations...
Childhood
Astoria "Tori" Catherine Greengrass was born on September 12th in the Greengrass Estate located in Scotland near Inverness. Her parents, Malcolm and Helene(neé Rosier) were disappointed to have another girl after already having their older daughter, Daphne nearly two years before. Astoria was meant to be a boy, the heir to the Greengrass fortune but sadly that fell to Astoria's uncle named Callum. This angered her father greatly because Callum was only a half brother to Malcolm but he was clearly favored. Tori grew up very unloved by father, who when drunk became abusive and cruel towards his second child. Her mother did what she could to protect her and often sent Tori away to her family in Paris, where she was raised as a young girl. Tori split her time between both sets of grandparents--eventually officially living with her paternal grandparents in the estate home that is the focus of the land--in the beautifully cultured city of Paris and the lush countryside of the highlands before finding a home at Hogwarts.
Hogwarts
Tori had grown up hearing stories about the magnificent school; Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Despite her nerves, she was very excited to finally learn magic and to understand how to protect herself. Ollivander himself had told her that her wand was quite powerful and she was ready to find out just how powerful she could be. Tori felt that with her love of books and learning she would be sorted into Ravenclaw but the Sorting Hat chose Slytherin because not only is she very clever but she is extremely ambitious and determined. Tori loved almost everything about Hogwarts and made friends with almost everyone except perhaps her sister best friend, Pansy Parkinson.
More info and teenage years

As a child, Tori had very vivid dreams that tended to happen within in the next couple days that followed and when she asked her maternal grandmother about what would cause such dreams, her Grandmere told her that she could be a seer. As she got older Tori then began to suffer from terrible migraines that resulted in a dream like state called a "vision" and in time Tori began to despise herself as much as her father did. It wasn't until she was fourteen that she discovered her visions could be stopped with a mixture of sedatives and a very strong pain potion that she realized she could function just as a normal teenager. She then understood what Ollivander had told her about her wand and it became her life's ambition.
"Hawthorn wands tend to be exceptional for those with a career in Healing." He had told her and that simple statement had planted the seed for her career goal at just eleven years old. Tori was always quite determined to be as studieous as Hermione bloody Granger ever dared to be and often was found in the Hogwarts library studying about Healing and Seers. Her friends often teased her about being such a "nerd" as they said and she always laughed about it occasionally joining in on their fun when she felt she needed a break. She asked both Professors Snape and Slughorn for guidance in Potions, the subject she was least versed in and planned to go into a Healer training program at St. Mungo's Hospital immediately after finishing school.
Little did Tori know that a brewing and full fledged war would cause her so much pain...Though her family remained nuetrul throughout the war, her father liked to be an ally to the Death Eaters and would offer his home to those who needed a hideaway. Whenever at home with her parents, her drunken father would take out his frustrations of not being paid, not being occupied by those in the Dark Lord's inner circle and much more on her and even allowed the Death Eaters to do the same. Her sister, Daphne did what she could to protect her but even at school she was a source of entertainment for the Carrow twins because Tori refused to torture the younger students. Though she agreed with the ideals of the groups named Dumbledore's Army and The Order, she never dared to join there causes not from fear but stubbornness

After the war...
When the war ended Tori knew she wanted to finish her schooling and after a lot of debate on whether or not to accept her Grandmere's offer of getting her into Beauxbatons, she chose to return to Hogwarts. Despite already knowing most of the subjects she opted to retake both her sixth and seventh year in order to officially take her N.E.W.T. exams and better her chances at getting all O's on her grades. Just as all her teachers predicted Tori excelled and was not only Head Girl for her final year but was salutatorian only trumped by a Ravenclaw boy in her year. Upon graduating and being of age, Tori finally did as she dreamed and moved out of her family home vowing to never return to the place of so many horrors. She used money she saved up through the years and a good sum from her maternal grandparents to buy herself a loft in Muggle London, not too far from both Diagon Alley and St. Mungo's. She had remained true to her word and became a trainee at the hospital working under one of the best Healers at St. Mungo's.
After becoming a full time Healer at the hospital, she met--remet, since they had known each other since childhood but never really grew close--Draco Malfoy through his business of brewing potions for various worldwide institutions and shops. Upon getting reacquainted, Draco sent Tori a letter asking her to be his date for a gala promoting potion work in magical hospitals and she found herself unable to say no. This was the beginning of a beautiful relationship she had only dreamed of and she had never been happier...
Marriage and Children

After dating for nearly a year, Draco proposed and they decided quite quickly to marry within a few months ready to start their lives together. Tori never thought it possible to be so happy with anyone because before Draco, no man had ever treated her with so much respect and love. He was gentle, patient and always understanding not to mention his mother adored her. They had moved into a cottage that Draco had inherited not wanting to live in the Manor until his parents were ready to retire to another one of their smaller homes. This was their fresh start and though they both were very career oriantated, they agreed the wanted children quickly.
Unfortunantly due to many years of abuse, Tori had trouble not only concieving but staying pregnant. She lost two babies before finally carrying full term and though they were thrilled, they carried their two daughters in their hearts. After a very hard and long birth, Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy was brought into the world in late April of 2005. The boy was loved beyond belief and was raised with more of an open minded upbringing than either parents ever had. The boy was equal parts Draco and Tori with his stubborn cleverness and book loving kindness.
